Opportunities

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative freelance editor to collaborate with. The ideal candidate will be hired to edit a variety of projects, including corporate talking heads, infomercials, educational web series, and occasionally music videos and narrative projects. The candidate must be located in the CT area, as hard drives need to be physically passed off.

Responsibilities:

• Edit a variety of projects including corporate talking heads, infomercials, educational web series, music videos and narrative projects

• Collaborate with clients and production teams to understand project objectives and vision

• Use DaVinci Resolve and the Black Magic Cloud to edit, color correct, and sound mix footage

• Manage and organize project files and deliverables

• Deliver high-quality edits on time and on budget

• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the quality of the final product

• Communicate effectively with clients, producers, and team members

 

Requirements:

• Strong editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating professional experience

• Expertise in DaVinci Resolve

• Familiarity with various video codecs, resolutions, and frame rates

• Experience working on a variety of projects, including corporate, educational, music videos and narrative projects

• Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be located in the CT area

Pay: Pay will be project-based and will vary depending on the scope and complexity of each project. Rates will be discussed with the candidate during the interview process.
